Felix Beauchamp - DELIO

Felix is an English-French bilingual actor from Calgary, and a graduate from the Ryerson Theatre School acting program. He’s very thrilled to be working with Shakespeare BASH’d for the first time! Recent theatre credits include: Titus Andronicus (Hart House Theatre); Shakespeare-In-Hospitals (Spur-Of-The-Moment Shakespeare Collective); Scarabouche! (Toronto Festival of Clowns); Les Zinspirés : Cinq sur Cinq (Théâtre Français de Toronto) *Dora-Nominated for Outstanding Ensemble*; Persephone (Pencil Kit Productions).
Felix has recently been accepted onto Cirque du Soleil’s talent roster as a clown/physical actor, and he can be seen playing Jobard Jr. in TFO’s new TV series Le Monde Magique de Lorenzo. Aside from acting, Felix loves playing drums as part of Toronto’s local band People Walking By.

Tristan Claxton - FERDINAND

Tristan is thrilled to be working on his first show with BASH’d. A graduate of the University of Windsor’s BFA program, Tristan earned his MA in Classical Acting form the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) in the U.K. Recent credits include: Rowan in Living With Olivia (RedWit), Multiple roles in the Newmarket National Play Festival, Izzy in Rage Against the King (Filiment), Saturninus in Titus Andronicus (Hart House Theatre), Aufidius/Sicinius in Coriolanus (Skipping Stones Theatre), Peter Spanyaardt in The Megantic Outlaw (Quarter Century Theatre). Bailey Green - CARIOLA

Bailey is a bilingual actor and writer originally from Montreal, now based in Toronto. Past BASH’d credits include: Eubulus in Gorboduc, Luciana/Courtesan in The Comedy of Errors, Arthur/Prince Henry in King John, and the Earl of Kent in Edward II. Other theatre credits include: Lavinia in Titus Andronicus (Hart House Theatre), Margaret in Much Ado about Nothing (Secret Shakespeare Series), Oklahoma! (First Act Productions), and The Tin Can People (Edinburgh Fringe). She is an alumna of University of Toronto, Sheridan College, and John Abbott College. Kevin Hammond - CASTRUCCIO, DOCTOR

Kevin is an actor/director, based in Toronto, where he has been the Artistic Director for both Humber River Shakespeare and Shakespeare in the Rough. He has directed or performed in over 30 Shakespeare productions. Kevin is also a member of the Michael Langham Workshop for Classical Direction at the Stratford Festival where he spent two seasons as an Assistant Director. Guest director credits include Othello and Hamlet for the Arabian Shakespeare Festival in San Francisco, Rough Magic for Theatre Arcturus, and The Taming of the Shrew for the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company.

Cora Matheson - PESCARA

Cora is a Toronto based actor, singer, dancer and a graduate of both Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts and George Brown Theatre School. Between training, she worked, travelled, attended some University and eventually gave in to the fact that classical theatre is where she needed to be. She is beyond excited to be working with Shakespeare BASH'd for the first time and to explore this fabulous text. Tatyana Mitchell - RODERIGO

Tatyana Mitchell is an emerging artist from Toronto. She is a recent graduate of Humber College’s Theatre Performance Program. Before Humber she was one of ten youth selected to be a part of Soulpepper’s City Youth Academy and was a part of the production A Beautiful Accident (DIR. Jennifer Villaverde). At Humber she has performed multiple eccentric and comedic characters such as, Dr. Slop in The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy Gentleman (DIR. by Tatiana Jennings and Karin Randoja), and in the collective creation of TYA show How to Build a Flying Machine (DIR. by Dan Watson and Christina Serra). Some of her most recent and highly praised work at Humber includes Mrs. Tilehouse in The Sea (DIR. Christopher Stanton), Maybelle Loomis in The Day of the Locust (DIR. Karin Randoja) and Lady with the Strong Voice in How Not to Die Stupidly (DIR. Tatiana Jennings). Tatyana is exploring the Toronto acting landscape and looking forward to a successful career in the arts and entertainment industry.

Julia Nish-Lapidus - DIRECTOR

Julia is an actor, director, and producer, as well as a Co-Founder and Co-Artistic Director of Shakespeare BASH'd, where she has produced all of the company's productions. She has worked as the Managing Director of Common Boots Theatre and as part of the team at The Theatre Centre.
For Shakespeare BASH'd, Julia has directed Richard III, The Comedy of Errors, and assistant directed The Changeling. She has also performed in many BASH'd productions, including The Taming of the Shrew, Romeo & Juliet, Macbeth, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Hamlet, Twelfth Night, and Volpone (staged reading).

Andy Pogson - CARDINAL

Andy calls Stratford his home now with his wife, Dana and daughter, Audrey. He is comfortable working in classical and contemporary texts and is so excited to work with the talented folks of Shakespeare BASH’d this year. Past Credits include: Sean in Halfway There (Port Stanley Festival Theatre), Clay in Cracked: A New Light on Dementia (Possible Arts), Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol (Theatre Northwest), Greg in I'll Be Back Before Midnight (Drayton Entertainment), Lawrence in Calendar Girls (Grand Theatre), MacDuff in Macbeth (Driftwood Theatre), Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew (Theatre By The Bay). Shayna Virginillo - JULIA

Shayna Virginillo is an actor, writer and theatre creator from Vancouver. She moved to Toronto after graduating from the acting program at the National Theatre School. Since then she has been a co-writer and performer in Brain Storm (Lucid Ludic, Toronto Fringe) and two shows with Smoothieland Performance Projects, creating episodic, custom-made youth theatre. Most recently she co-produced and acted in an indie feature Until the Real Thing Comes Along (Quantity Cinema) and has been in development with her one woman show, Zephyr who Swallowed Four Moons.

James Wallis - PRODUCER

James has been a Shakespeare fan all his life, having performed with Resurgence Theatre Company as a teenager and again as a professional later in his career.
In 2010, James co-founded Shakespeare BASH’d with his wife, Julia. For the company, James has directed staged readings of Romeo and Juliet (2010), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2011), and Edward II (2015), as well as the full productions of Romeo & Juliet, Love's Labour's Lost, Macbeth, The Merry Wives of Windsor, and Twelfth Night. He played Petruchio in the company's Best of Fringe winning production of The Taming of the Shrew in 2012 and the remount in 2015, and played Benedick in their sold-out production of Much Ado About Nothing in the 2013 Toronto Fringe. In addition, here are some of James’ selected theatre credits: A Midsummer Nights’ Dream, Shakespeare’s Magic and The Taming of the Shrew (Theatre by the Bay), Danny, King of the Basement (Roseneath Theatre, US Tour), Sleeping Beauty (Sudbury Theatre Centre), Paradise by the River (Shadowpath Theatre).

Naomi Wright - DUCHESS of MALFI

Born in Germany, and raised in Ottawa, Naomi is a UBC graduate who lives in Toronto. Recently she performed in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Romeo and Juliet for Canadian Stage. Previous theatre credits include Titus Bouffonius (Rumble Theatre); The Birds and the Bees (WCT, TIP); Twelfth Night, King Lear, Comedy of Errors, Julius Caesar (Canadian Stage); Kiss, Das Ding (Canadian Stage/Theatre Smash); The Ugly One (Theatre Smash); A Room of One’s Own (Bloomsbury Collective); Talking Heads (Precisely Peter); Cymbeline, Electra (Stratford Festival); A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Tempest, Hamlet, Twelfth Night, Comedy of Errors, Othello, Titus Andronicus, Romeo and Juliet, Taming of the Shrew (Bard on the Beach); Pride and Prejudice, Absurd Person Singular (Arts Club); Stupidity (Theatre Conspiracy); Cat and Mouse/Sheep, The Dissociates (Sea Theatre); Bird Brain (Carousel Theatre).
