Company Interviews: Megan Miles as Juliet and Francisca
We asked Megan Miles who plays Juliet and Francisca in our production of Measure for Measure, a few questions about herself, the play, and Toronto...
What neighbourhood do you live in?
I live in Cedarvale and I love it because of the Cedarvale Ravine. It is so gorgeous to walk through in the summer and it has a dog park where I can very non-creepily watch puppies playing.
What’s the best line in the play?
I love the the line "Go to your bosom: Knock there, and ask your heart what it doth know"
If your character were at Junction City Music Hall, what drink would they order?
Francisca: Dark and Stormy
Juliet: White Wine
Which character from Measure for Measure would you want to be friends with in real life?
Pompey to keep life entertaining and the Provost, both for his kindness and to have someone on my side if I have a run-in with the law.
What is your post-show drink of choice?
A good craft beer.
Favourite pop culture nun:
I love Sister Wendy Beckett. She loves art and is adorable! But also Hildegard of Bingen. Popes came to her for advice and she was on of the first religious women to write about female sexuality. Badass.
